Symbolism of the Congress
The symbolism of the Eurasian Congress on Administrative Law reflects the ideas of professional unity, continuity of legal traditions, the stability of administrative law and service to the principles of the rule of law.
Lettering
The textual designation of the logo symbolises the community of specialists in the field of administrative law, united by common academic, professional and law-enforcement practice. Placing the name along an arc emphasises the idea of unity and integrity of the professional community of administrative law.
Central element — the column
The column at the centre of the composition embodies the stability, support and fundamental character of administrative law as one of the most important branches of public law. The shape of the column, resembling a tree, symbolises the natural development of the legal system, its rootedness in legal culture and its capacity for growth, renewal and continuity.
Interlaced ornament (rope weaving)
The woven structure of the central element symbolises the strong connection between generations of lawyers, academic schools and legal traditions. The rope interlacing conveys the idea of unity and indivisibility of a professional community bound by shared values, experience and responsibility over a long historical perspective.
Laurel leaves
The leaves on either side of the logo refer to the classical tradition, including that of ancient Greece and Rome, which is one of the sources of continental law. They symbolise recognition, dignity, wisdom and justice. The symmetrical arrangement of the leaves also figuratively corresponds to the scales of justice, emphasising balance, objectivity and the pursuit of a fair resolution of public law disputes.
